Description
The Consignment Note domain encompasses the communication flows between the contractual RU and the partnering RUs. The Consignment Note message contains all commercial and operational data needed to transport the good via the railways.
Workflow
ECTD
The shipping carrier or the contractual carrier sends an ECTD message to the central system. The CDS distributes the ECTD to all participating carriers, either as xml-message to ORFEUS members or as a consignment note orientated pdf to NON-ORFEUS members. Updates are processed by the CDS
ECN
The shipping carrier or the contractual carrier sends an forwarding message to the CDS which is distributed to all participating carriers as described above. The shipping carrier then later sends an ECN-message which replaces the original paper consignment note . It is distributed sequently to all carriers in role 1 or 2, while the carriers in role 3 receive an ECOM message instead. Updates are processed by the CDS
